JASMIJN GROOT
researcher
Jasmijn (1989, Netherlands) studied History and Archeology at the University of Amsterdam. “Countless women have overcome the obstacles placed in front of them. Only to be ultimately overlooked by posterity and deemed unworthy of being remembered. Simply because they were women. With Gay & Gray I want to give lesbian women's history the attention it deserves.”
Kate (1989, Belgium) studied at the RITC in Brussels and the Newport Film School in Wales. “As a lesbian woman within the context of my unrelenting Evangelical upbringing, I emphasize the importance of queer representation that I myself have missed. “With Gay & Gray, I can shine a light on the enduring love and resilience these women created as a valuable legacy, despite the challenges of their times.”
NINA LANDAU
researcher
Nina (1986, Belgium) studied Criminology and International Politics at the Vrije Universiteit of Brussels. "More than 40 years ago, these women, averse to all prevailing social norms, courageously chose love and each other. With Gay & Gray I want to give these women the attention they deserve"
Katleen (Belgium) is a producer with twenty years of experience in the audiovisual sector. "Gay & Gray gives the floor to gay women, older women, and wants to create visibility for their struggle, their story, their choices, their vision of life and the decades-long journey they have taken. But above all, it is a story about consistently choosing love."
